Koi

this is a koi drawing i did with pastels. june stepped on it and was terrified to tell me. i found her statue still in the kitchen with a look of panic on her face. " I stepped on your picture momma" I hugged her and said " it's ok momma can fix it". i hated to rub in the little footprint but it was actually commisioned work.

Tiles

These are 9 wood blocks that my dad and I made from scrap wood. they are about 8x8" and 1" thick. i made these for a friend at work.

From Stool to Cool

I wasn't planning on recovering these stools but this fabric reached out and grabbed me at Hancock Fabrics. It only took less than 1/2 a yard and it was 50% off, and my BFF Banana bought me some foam for valentine's day. So these 30 year old stools from my husband's grandmother got a VERY cheap but extremely stylish makeover.

paintings

i've been painting.....so i don't know if this is something people already do, but i had this awesome idea to decopague crinkled tissue paper on canvas, prime over it, and paint on it, and then love it. hence the tree on the left.

quilting

I haven't posted anything lately b/c i have been crazy busy making this quilt. it was originaly a duvet cover that i loved the pattern but hated the bunching. i just cut it up and made a quilt out of it and some other fabric i ordered off etsy about 6 months ago.I also made pillow cases with the extra. i absolutely love it! joann's had all kinds of seamless quilt binding and that makes things alot easier. my husband and i have really enjoyed it since it's been below 20 degrees on some nights. of course when i was taking pictures june insisted on being in one. how could i resist? ps. my dad and i actually built this platform bed about 5 years ago. go us!

My latest project: Gingerbread Garland. Tiny ric-rac, brown and red felt, red cording and buttons! I doulbled up the felt for stability.
